Conference interpreting

Conference interpreting is so called because it typically occurs in conferences, conventions, congresses and public debates. The difference between liaison and conference interpreting is that the latter occurs in a formal and controlled environment, often with large numbers of public in attendance, and with a huge diversity of themes addressed. All this requires the skills of a professional interpreter with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in interpreting and extensive experience in the field.
